In today’s age, you don’t need to know how to code to build a decent website. There are a ton of inexpensive tools on the market that will help with your website design, and they include plug-and-play templates that don’t even require design on your part. Some great website builders to check out are:
- WordPress. GoDaddy hosting has some inexpensive starter packages that come with a free domain for 1 year. This link will get you a managed WordPress website and free domain starting at $1 per month. Our website, howtobreedyourdog.com, we built on WordPress. More technical experience required, but more flexibility. (This website was built on WordPress).
- Wix. Wix website management and hosting might be the fastest and easiest to set up. In our experience using Wix, it’s fast to deploy, but doesn’t have the design selection that other players have. Less technical experience required, but also less flexibility.
- Squarespace. Squarespace has a great mix of design control and ease of deployment. Great middle option in terms of technical experience and design flexibility.
In selecting a website platform, you don’t need a lot of bells and whistles. A one page site will do. In many cases, Wix might be your best option. There’s not a ton of design flexibility, but it’s a great platform for getting the attention your new litter requires.
